The Tallest Man On Earth recently took the stage at Boulder Theater to perform for the long-standing syndicated program eTown. Hosted by Nick and Helen Forster, the show is available for streaming HERE and will also air to many local radio stations – find yours HERE. You can also purchase the podcast at iTunes. Joining Kristian for the show were The Spring Standards. Together they, along with the eTown House Band, performed “Cycles,” a song made popular by Frank Sinatra. Watch above.
Last week we saw the release of The Tallest Man On Earth’s new record, There’s No Leaving Now. You can order the album HERE. Want to hear the new songs live in concert? Kristian announces a handful of new North American dates, which you can see listed below. Stops include Lollapalooza, Newport Folk, Hop Farm and Green Man festivals!
Shayna Rose Arnold of LA Magazine caught TTMOE last week at The Wiltern. Witnessing nothing short of a stellar performance, Arnold writes, “played all together, it’s clear that Matsson’s music is made to move to—to drive to, to run to, to explore to—and he’s on his own artistic journey.” LA Magazine also shares a video of Kristian and his wife Amanada closing the show with a gorgeous duet of “Thrown Right At Me.” Watch HERE.

“These 10 songs, like those before them, dazzle and shimmy and sulk, as Matsson continues to conjure images of a young Dylan projecting his voice through a megaphone.” – NPR
“The piano-driven title track is a continuation of something Matsson hinted at on his last full-length (The Wild Hunt); it’s a subtle departure, an assertion that he won’t be creatively contained.” – Creative Loafing
If you haven’t given it a listen already, head over to NPR and check out Monday’s Morning Edition. The show features The Tallest Man On Earth just in time for the release of his new album, There’s No Leaving Now, out officially tomorrow.
“Matsson says he’s dealt with stress and anxiety in his music, and his older songs often return to the theme of running away. But on his new record, he brings a fresh outlook: a feeling of wanting to confront, not run. His recent marriage seems to have made him stronger.” Check out The Tallest Man On Earth: Tired of Running HERE.
You can still listen to the new album at NPR’s First Listen. The stream will not last much longer, so check it out while you can.
Get your copy of There’s No Leaving Now at SC Distribution. Deluxe bundles featuring an exclusive 7″ still available.
